MediaPond does not have accounts. You do not sign up, and there is no MediaPond profile holding your rooms, your devices or your viewing.

No analytics

There is no analytics SDK in the app, no event tracking, and no crash-reporting profile tied to you.

This website sets no cookies and runs no trackers

mediapond.io sets no cookies of any kind, loads no third-party scripts, and runs no analytics, advertising or fingerprinting code. Fonts, styles, scripts and images are served from this domain, so no outside company observes your visit and there is no cookie banner to dismiss.

Advertising in the app

The free tier of the app will carry advertising when it launches. Free use still consumes server resources for content discovery and metadata, and advertising is how that is paid for. Ads come from third-party ad networks, they arrive with their own consent and disclosure flows inside the app and in the store listings, and an active Premium subscription removes them.

Control traffic stays on your network

Commands for power, volume, input, transport and opening a title go from your phone or tablet straight to the device over your local network. They do not pass through a MediaPond server, which is why the remote keeps working when your internet connection does not.

What does leave your network

Streaming catalog lookups. When you browse shows and films, MediaPond asks its own catalog service for titles, artwork and which services carry them. Those requests describe what is being looked up, not who is looking it up: there is no account attached, because there is no account.

Services you connect yourself

If you connect a Plex server, a YouTube account, a Home Assistant instance or a Google Home household, that connection is between your device and that service. The credentials are stored on your device, and MediaPond does not keep a copy or relay your library anywhere.

Purchases

Premium is sold through the App Store and Google Play, so payment is handled entirely by the platform. MediaPond never sees a card number and is only told whether a subscription is active.

Children

MediaPond is a household remote, not a service for children, and it collects nothing that would identify anyone of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Anything that would alter the local-first behavior described here would be announced, not slipped in.
